1 -1/2 recipes of Tart Dough

1 quart milk
2 eggs plus 2 egg yolks
8 Tbs. Corn Starch
3/4 C. Sugar
2 Tsp. vanilla

1 1/2 Receive of Tart Dough

Directions:
Directions:
Mix corn starch and sugar together, beat in eggs and vanilla
Slowly add to milk , using a heavy 2-3 quart pan, stirring well and begin to heat all of the above
Cook over medium heat, about 15 minutes, until mixture begins to thicken and slowly bubbles.
Make sure to stir the bottom of the pan or the mixture will burn. You must stir the whole time the mixture thickens.. The mixture burns easily.
Mixture will be thick enough to coat the wooden spoon you are stirring with.

You may add 2 squares of chocolate to 1/2 the custard if desired

Pour custard into a 10 inch pie dish which has the tart dough as the base.

Place the plain custard around the sides of the pie dish and put the chocolate custard in the center of the glass dish Cover the custard with more rolled tart dough, [ like a 2 crust pie] which you have put slits into the top of the dough as a vent

Bake 375 degrees for about 40-45 minutes
The top will be light brown

Make tart dough first,Place prepared dish in refrigerator while making the custard.
No need to cool custard, just place in tart lined glass pie dish
