5 tbsp. cornstarch 1/3 c. sugar ¼ tsp. salt 2/3 c. powdered milk 2 c. water 1 egg 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. margarine 2 tsp. vanilla
Combine dry ingredients in a pan. Add water and cook, stirring until thickened. Beat egg and sugar separately until light. Pour a little hot mixture over egg. Add to entire mixture and simmer 5 minutes. Then add margarine and vanilla. Cook until thick.
For chocolate pudding: Add 2 tbsp. each of cocoa and sugar to cornstarch mixture.
