2 tbs margarine 1 ½ tsp salt 1 good size piece of brisket Pinch pepper 4 cups boiling water 6 good sized carrots sliced ½ cup brown sugar 6 sweet potatoes peeled and cut into quarters
Melt margarine and brown the beef in a 6 quart pot. Add the water and seasonings. Cover and cook over low heat 1 ½ hours. Add the carrots, sweet potatoes and brown sugar. Cover and bake at 350 for 2 hours. Uncover for the last half hour.
