4 lb flat cut brisket
3-4 cloves of garlic
2 med. onions sliced
1 large can chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup sherry
1 envelope onion soup mix
3 -4 bay leaves

Directions:
Directions:
Cover brisket with flour and sear both sides in a dutch oven with heated oil covering bottom of pan. Add all the other ingredients and simmer covered 2-3 hours. If brisket is not totally submerged, turn it over every 30 minutes. Potatoes could be cooked with it.
Remove meat and cool. Slice on the diagonal. Gravy can be put through a foley mill.
