Baking Apples
4 cups sugar
2 tbsp stick cinnamon
2 cups vinegar
2 tbsp whole cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Prick skins of apples to prevent bursting. Cook apples slowly until tender in pickling syrup made up of last 5 ingredients.
Pack in canning jars and fill to top with boiling syrup.
