Melt in large saucepan 3/4 cup butter or shortening. Stir in 2 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar. Remove from heat. Let cool about 10 minutes.
Sift together and set aside, 2 1/2 cups sifted flour 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp salt. Beat 3 eggs into sugar mixture, one at a time. Add and mix well the flour mixture, 1/2 pkg. (1 cup) nestles semi-sweet Chocolate morsels, and 1 cup chopped nuts.

Spread in greased 15"x10"x1" pan. Bake at 350.
Time: 25 to 30 minutes. Cool. Cut into 2" squares.
