1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup oleo
4 eggs
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
1 can cherry pie filling
Powdered sugar glaze or frosting

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together sugar, shortening, oleo and eggs for 3 minutes. Add to this mixture flour, baking powder, vanilla, almond extract. Spread 3/4 of batter into greased and floured (I use Pam w/flour)jellyroll pan. Spread evenly onto batter cherry pie filling. Spoon by teaspoonfuls the remaining batter over pie filling. Bake at 350 until done. Drizzle icing over top when cool. Cut into bars. Any flavor pie filling can be used - i.e. apple, blueberry, peach. Good with a cup of coffee!
