2 1/2 cups flour pinch of salt 1 cup shortening 1 egg (separated) 10-12 apples (peeled and sliced) 1 cup sugar cinammon to taste 2/3 cup milk
Mix flour salt, shortening. Add milk and slightly beaten egg yolk. Press or roll out 1/2 for bottom of 15x10 jelly roll pan. Piece if necessary. Make sure dough comes up on sides of pan. Place apples on top of dough. Sprinkle sugar and cinammon. Roll out other dough and put on top. Pinch closed. Brush with egg white. Bake 1 hr. at 375º. Frost with powdered sugar glaze while warm.
Makes a large batch of wonderful apple goodies. Great fall dessert!
