9 in. baked pie shell, baked according to package

Filling:
1 c. sugar
3 heaping T. flour
3 T. cocoa
1/2 c. warm water
3 egg yolks, well beaten
1 c. milk (do not use skim milk)
1 t. vanilla flavoring
2 T. margarine


Meringue:
3 egg whites
1/4 t. cream of tartar
6 T. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, flour and cocoa. Add warm water and stir until well blended. Add remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly. Pour into baked pie shell.

Meringue:
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until it stands in peaks. Add sugar gradually mixing well after each addition. Cover pie filling with meringue and bake in preheated 350 oven until lightly brown.
