8 oz. cream cheese, softened
5 T. melted butter
3-4 c. cubed chicken
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 T. chives or onions, chopped
2 T. red bell pepper, chopped
2-8 oz. cans crescent rolls
3/4 c. seasoned croutons, crushed


1/3 c. milk
10 3/4 oz. cream of mushroom or chicken soup

To make the squares, preheat oven to 350. In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese and 4 tablespoons of butter until smooth. Add chicken, milk, salt, pepper, onions and bell pepper. Mix well. Separate rolls into 8 rectangles. Spoon about 1/2 cup of chicken mixture on top of the center of each rectangle, pull 4 corners of dough to top center of filling. Twist firmly. Place on 2 ungreased cookie sheets. Brush with reserve butter and sprinkle with croutons crumbs. Bake 20 minutes until golden brown.

To make the sauce, combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Heat until bubbly. Pour over squares and serve.
