2 1/2 C flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 C butter softened (2 sticks)
3/4 C sugar
3/4 C firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1 C chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop spoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 min. or until golden brown.
