4 cups milk
2 cups cubed dry bread
1 tablespoon butter or oleo
3/4 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk. Add bread cubes to soak 5 minutes. Add butter and sugar to a greased 9-inch square pan. Beat eggs, pour in milk mixture slowly over eggs. Add vanilla and mix well. Set dish in pan of hot water.

Bake at 350 for 50 minutes or until firm. Serve warm or cold.
