2 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oatmeal
2 tsp. salt
2 T. shortening (butter)
1/2 c. molasses
2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
5 to 6 c. sifted flour

Directions:
Directions:
1. Pour boiling water with salt over oatmeal and stir. Add shortening and molasses.

2. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add. Add flour gradually.

3. Let rise twice. Shape into 2 loaves and bake 50 min. at 350.
