1 cup sour cream
2 tbsp. shortening
3 tbsp. white sugar
1/8 tsp. soda
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 cake yeast
1/3 cup warm water
4 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sour cream and add shortening, sugar, soda, and salt. Cool and add egg. Dissolve yeast in warm water and let set 10 minutes. Add to sour cream mixture and then add flour and knead well. Let rise 10-15 minutes. Roll flat and spread with butter and cinnamon sugar. Fold in half, cut and twist. Let rise and then bake at 350.

This recipe is from Tim's mom and these rolls are great. I wish I could claim to have made them once or twice..but no. I couldn't create a family recipe cookbook without them.
