6 tbsp soft shortening (fresh bacon fat is good

Directions:
Directions:
Heat waffle iron while mixing batter. Beat eggs well. Beat in remaining ingredients until smooth. Pour onto center of hot waffle iron. Bake until steaming stops. Lift carefully with fork.
