Filling:
1 Cup Sugar Carmelized
3/4 Stick Margarine
3 Egg Yolks Beaten
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup Flour
2 Cups Milk
1/2 Tsp. Vanilla
dash of salt

Meringue:
3 Egg Whites
1/8 Tsp. Salt
1/4 Tsp. Cream of Tarter
6 Tbsp. Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Caramelize the sugar and then add 3/4 stick margarine, mix well and set aside. Cook together the egg yolks; sugar, flour, milk, vanilla, and salt then add the caramelized sugar. Cook until thick. Pour into a prepared pie shell and top with meringue.

Meringue:
Whip the whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form gradually adding 1 tablespoon of sugar at a time. Beat a couple of minutes Bake 350 until meringue is lightly browned.
