"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Denise's Famous Taco Dip, by Denise Rockney, is from The Taste of Inacom,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
5 packages of cream cheese 1 package of taco seasoning 1 bottle of taco sauce (medium) 1 bag of shredded lettuce 2 cans of sliced black olives 2 tomatoes - chopped 1 package of taco cheese 2 bags of Tostitos
In a large cookie sheet, let the cream cheese packages soften for about 15 minutes. THIS GETS MESSY - using your hands, mix the cream cheese and taco seasoning. Mix well and spread throughout the entire sheet. Spread the taco sauce over the cream cheese mixture. Spread the lettuce evenly over the taco sauce. Spread the black olives over the lettuce. Spread the chopped tomatoes over the black olives and top off with cheese. Refrigerate overnight. Take out 30 minutes before serving.
