Directions:
To make the rub, place untoasted sesame seeds, Wasabi powder, peppercorns, and garlic salt in a spice mill, coffee grinder or in a mortar. Grind to a fine powder. Trim skin and dark spots off tuna. Rinse under cold water, pat dry w/ paper towel. Sprinkle rub all over tuna on both sides. Drizzle oil over the tuna & rub w/ fingertips. Marinate in fridge for 30 minutes. Preheat grill to high, when ready, brush oil onto grill grates. Place tuna on hot grate and grill until cooked to taste. (1-2 minutes each side; 4-8 minutes in all for loin). I watched this on a Grilling show on PBS, and thought it looked good. John and I love it. I use a little less Wasabi powder on my steak. Delicious!
