1 c. soft shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 lg. Eggs
1 tsp Grated Orange Rind
3 c. Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream first 4 ingredients, add dry ingredients. Mix to a soft dough. Leave half plain, divide the other half into small amounts and color with food coloring. Roll plain dough out to 3/16 in and cut into 4 in rounds. Place onto cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Roll and cut colored dough into holiday shapes. place a colored cookie on top of a plane cookie. Decorate with colored sugar. Bake at 375
8 - 10 minutes, cool. Cookies may be wrapped in clear cellophane and tied a the top with a small red bow.
