11/2 lbs pork steak, 1teaspoon salt, 1 T onion flakes, 3 cups water, 8 cups quick oatmeal.

Directions:
Directions:
Cook until very done, 2-3 hours. Remove meat from broth and grind(fat and all) Discard bones. Add enough water to broth to make 8 cups. Let come to boil and add ground meat. Add 1 T. salt. Let come to boil again and add 8 cups quick oatmeal. Reduce heat and let steam 5-10 min. When cool, fry and serve with syrup.

Divide into small batches, put in freezer bags and freeze. Grandma use to make this for breakfast..in the olden days they used scrapes of pork when slaughtering hogs.
