1 cup flour, 1/2 cup butter, 1T water,1 cup water, 1/2cup butter, 1/2cup flour, 3 eggs, 1 teaspoon almond flavoring, 2 cups pwd sugar, 2 teaspoons soft butter, 1 T hot water, 1 teaspoon almond flavoring.

Directions:
To make crust cut 1/2 cup butter into 1 cup flour. add 1 T. water and blend with fork. Divide into 2 parts. Lay on ungreased baking sheet and with heel of hand work into 2 strips about 3 inches wide and 11 inches long. set aside. Topping: Bring 1/2cup butter and 1 cup water to hard boil. Add 1/2 cup flour all at once. Remove from heat and beat until smooth. Add 3 eggs one at a time and beat after each one. Add 1 teaspoon almond . spoon over pastry. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 min. Make frosting: Mix 2 cups pwd sugar, 2 teaspoons soft butter, 1 T hot water and 1 teaspoon almond. Spread over pastry when cool can top with whipped cream and nuts. serve
