2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
11/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1 c. sugar
1 egg slightly beaten
3 T. shortening melted
3/4 c. orange juice
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
1-2 c. cranberries cut in half
grated orange rind

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients, add beaten egg, shortening, and orange
juice. Mix until just moistened. Fold in nuts, cranberries and
orange rind,. Put in greased pan and bake for 1 hour at 350
degrees.
