Pecan Tarts Recipe

3 oz. cream cheese
1/4 lb. butter
1 c all purpose flour
1/2 c chopped pecans
3/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
2 T butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs, lightly beaten with fork

Cream 1/4 lb butter and cream cheese together. Add flour and mix well. Divide dough into walnut-size balls. Put balls in small tart pan and press to shape crust. Scatter 4-5 pecan pieces in bottom of each tart.

Melt 2 T butter in small saucepan. Add vanilla and stir. Add brown sugar and stir until melted. Important: DO NOT BRING TO A BOIL.

Remove from heat and mix in two eggs. Fill tarts. Top each tart with a whole pecan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
