1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
lasagna noodles
1 1/2 lbs mozzarella cheese
1 med. onion chopped
2 cloves of garlic - crushed
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1-1 1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tbsp basil
1 large can of tomato paste - blended in blender
2 cans tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste
1/2 tsp sugar
Sliced mushrooms
1/2 c water
2 tsp Parmesan cheese

Saute onions in 2 tbsp vegetable oil - add hamburger, salt, pepper, garlic, and cook until hamburger is done. Drain grease. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil, oregano, mushrooms, sugar, water, and cheese. Simmer at least 45 minutes.

Taste - wait 10 minutes - if not dead continue with recipe.

Cook lasagna noodles, slice mozzarella cheese in thin slices. Begin with a bottom layer of sauce, then lay noodles vertically and cover generously with mozzarella cheese, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese - cover with sauce, lay noodles horizontally, add cheeses. Continue layers alternating noodles in the criss cross pattern ending with a layer of sauce. Bake at 350 approx. 45 - 60 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbles.
