1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup melted margarine
1 (14 oz) bag caramels
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup pecan pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Unwrap caramels and place in double boiler with 1/3 cup of the milk. Melt while doing the following:
Combine cake mix, margarine, and 2/3 milk. Pour 1/2 of this batter into a greased 13" x 9" pan or casserole dish.

Bake 10-15 minutes at 350. (The batter should not be completely done.) Pour melted caramel mixture over cake. Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips on top of caramels. Add remaining batter on top as evenly as possible. Return to oven and bake 15-20 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
