White Sugar 1 c
Cocoa 3 tbsp.
Butter or Margarine 1/3 c
Eggs 2
Sour cream 3/4 c and mix with
Baking Soda 1 tsp.
Flour 2 c
Salt pinch
Baking Powder 1 tsp.
Boiling water or coffee 1/2 c

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and cocoa and blend in butter. Add eggs and beat well. Blend in the sour cream and baking soda mixture. Add flour, salt and baking powder. Mix well. Add water or coffee and beat vigorously for 1 minute. Bake in 9x13 pan or 2 layer pans at 350 for about 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

This was also one of Mom's quick dessert fixes or she would make it in the morning for school lunches. Its very moist. It is very good with the Lazy Daisy icing.
