1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 3/4 to 2 c. confectioner sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan. Add brown sugar, stirring constantly, boil 3 mins. Add milk and continue to stir(this burns easily). Let mixture come to a rolling boil and remove from heat. Add vanilla, stir, and let cool.
Sift confectioner sugar and use a mixer to blend into cooled mixture, gradually. Beat well until creamy and of spreading consistency. Add more milk or sugar to keep it smooth.
