1-1/2 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 small onion, chopped
1 10 oz. pkg. egg noodles (I use elbow macaroni)3/4 c. tomato sauce
1 can whole kernel corn
2 tsp. salt
1-1/4 c. tomato juice
1-1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 c. tomato paste
1 - 3oz. cream cheese (softened)
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
(I usually use 2 lbs. hamburger and double cheeses and add more macaroni.)

Directions:
Directions:
Make noodles according to package. Brown hamburger and onion in skillet; drain and add seasonings. Put noodles and hamburger into a 2-1/2 qt. casserole dish; mix in additional ingredients thoroughly. Bake in 350 oven for 30-40 minutes. This can be doubled easily for large quantities.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I got this recipe from Nanno's files years ago before John and I were married. I never make it the same way twice, I've substituted cans of diced tomatoes for the tomato juice, and I usually add 1-1/2 cups extra of cheese. Twice a month I am scheduled to bring dinner to the dance studio. This is the #1 dinner request.
