1/2 lb. mushrooms (about 10)
4-6 Tbs. butter
1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
6 Tbs. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
2 Tbs. dry white wine
1 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 c. Italian cracker crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat broiler. Remove stems; stir together 4 Tbs. butter, garlic & cheese until well-blended; add remaining ingredients and stir well. Brush melted butter (2 Tbs) over caps. Place mushrooms on a large rimmed baking sheet. Evenly mound filling in each mushroom, pressing lightly. Broil about 6" below broiler until bubbly & lightly browned (3-4 min.) Serve warm.

This recipe came from a friend of mine's parent's from Yellowstone. I lived with them in San Diego for about 4 months in 1988, the year of the fires. I hated mushrooms until I had these!
