1 3/4 c. flour
1 c. cocoa powder
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter softened
2/3 c. white sugar
2/3 c. brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. sour milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cover two round cake pans with greased and floured waxed paper. Beat butter and sugars at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. At low speed, alternately beat dry ingredients and sour milk into butter mixture just until blended, ending with dry ingredients. Pour batter into cake pans. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Set pans on wire racks to cool for 10 minutes. Turn out onto racks. Remove paper. Turn layers topside up and cool completely. Frost with fudgy chocolate frosting.
