2/3 c. butter (softened)
2-1/2 c. cake flour
1-2/3 c. sugar
1-1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1-1/4 c. mashed fully ripe bananas
2/3 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
PENUCHE FROSTING:
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. hot milk
3-1/4 c. powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, cake flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add mashed bananas and 1/3 cup of the buttermilk; mix until flour is dampened. Beat vigorously 2 minutes. Add the remaining 1/3 cup buttermilk and eggs. Beat for 2 minutes. Pour into greased and floured 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Frost with Penuche Frosting.
Directions for Penuche Frosting: Melt butter; add brown sugar. Bring to boiling; cook and stir 1 minute or until slightly thickened. Cool 15 minutes. Add hot milk; beat until smooth. Beat in powdered sugar until frosting is of spreading consistency.
