6-8 large Pippen or Granny Smith apples
1/3 C. sugar
1 T. cinnamon
3/4 C. butter
1 C. sugar
1 beaten egg
pinch salt
1 C. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Fill large pie pan 1/2-2/3's full of sliced, pared apples. Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.
Melt the butter, add the 1 C. sugar, the beaten egg, the salt and flour and mix well.
Pour over apples.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until topping is brown. Serve warm or cooled, plain or with ice cream.
