4 tomatoes
4 c. tomato juice
14 or more fresh basil leaves
1 c. heavy whipping cream
1/2 c. butter
salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Combine tomatoes and tomato juice in stockpot and simmer 1/2 hour. Puree tomatoes and juice with basil leaves in a blender or food processor (or I use the handheld blender right in the stockpot). Return mixture to stockpot and add heavy cream and butter. Heat through but not to boiling. Add salt and pepper adjusting as needed and serve
