Approx. 1 to 2 lb. stew beef, cubed 1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix or 1 can onion soup 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can mushrooms, not drained 1 c. red wine or water (omit if canned onion soup is used)
Combine all ingredients except beef. Add beef and stir until well-blended. Place mixture into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish and cover with lid. Bake at 300 º for 3 hours. Serve over hot buttered noodles.
