Equal amounts chopped or shredded of the following:

Carrots
Onions
Celery
Cabbage
Beets (If you use fresh beats you may want to cook them for awhile first then add the rest of the vegetables, or you can used can beets and add them last.
Polish Sausage sliced
Beef broth (at least one can, but depends on how thick you want the soup).
Add a little sugar and salt and pepper to taste.

Heat mixture until it reaches a slow boil, remove from heat and serve with a dollop of sour cream.
