2 c. Sugar 1 bottle White Karo syrup 1/2 lb. Butter 1 can Condensed milk 2 tsp. Vanilla extract 1 c. Chopped nuts (optional)
Boil sugar and Karo syrup together, add butter. Boil to hard ball stage, add condensed milk. Stir constantly and cook to hard ball stage again. Quickly stir in vanilla extract and nuts then pour into a buttered 9x13 pan. Let cool and cut into 1/2 inch squares. Squares should be wrapped individually in wax paper.
