2 lbs fresh green beans 1 small Ham hock 1 tbsp sugar Water
Wash and string beans. In large saucepan, add green beans and ham hock. Sprinkle sugar over beans. Add water to cover beans. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook until beans are tender, stirring occasionally.
