4 C. milk 5 T. cornstarch 1 C. sugar 2 large eggs 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla
Heat milk. Separate eggs. In meantime, mix dry ingredients with a little milk and the egg yolks. Add to hot milk and cook until thick. Remove from fire and add vanilla. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold egg whites into pudding. Serve either hot or cold with cream or fruit.
