1/2 lb. butter or margarine, softened
3 c. sugar
6 large eggs
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
3 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. lemon extract
1/4 c. butter or margarine
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. lemon juice (approximately 2 lemons)

Cream 1/2 lb. butter or margarine and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each. Add sour cream, mixing well. Add flour and baking soda, 1/2 c. at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Add lemon extract and mix another 30 seconds. Pour batter into greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Remove from oven. To make glaze, mix 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 2/3 c. sugar, lemon juice in small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 1-2 minutes. Poke holes into cake with a toothpick and slowly pour glaze over. Spread with knife until glaze is absorbed. Let cool before serving.
