1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
2 eggs
1 T. baking soda
1T. vinegar 1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp. vanilla
5 1/2 - 6 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients, except flour, together thoroughly and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cool thoroughly and add flour. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
