6 egg whites 1 1/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup butter 2 cups cake flour 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 lemon, juice and rind
Preheat oven to 325º. Beat egg whites dry/add sugar to eggs gradually. Beat butter to a cream, separately. Add flour and baking soda and mix. Add this gradually to egg mixture. Add lemon last. Bake for 1 1/4 hours.
