1 c. butter 1 3/4 c. sugar 1 tbsp. cinnamon 2 3/4 c. plain flour 2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. baking soda 2 eggs 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla
Combine 1/4 c. sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. Mix together remaining ingredients to make a stiff dough. Roll into balls and roll each ball in sugar/cinnamon mixture. Place on cookie sheets and bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and cool before removing from cookie pan.
