1 box deluxe white cake mix
1/4 tsp. baking soda
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
8 oz. frozen whipped topping
1 (20 oz.) can cherry pie filling

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare cake mix by package directions with the addition of the baking soda. Bake in 2 greased and floured layer cake pans (9 inch). Turn layers out; let cool. Prepare filling by whipping softened cream cheese until light and fluffy. Beat in both sugars and continue beating until smooth. Fold in thawed whipped topping. Spread on tops of layers; top each layer with half of pie filling. Stack the second layer on top of the first. Chill before serving.
