Ingredients:
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 T baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 c oil
3/4 c buttermilk
8 T margarine, softened
3/4 c sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
Glaze (see notes)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda in a medium bowl and mix well. Stir in oil. Add buttermilk and stir just until blended. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Roll dough into a 15 x 8 inch rectangle. Preheat the oven to 400 F. Grease a 9-inch round baking pan lightly. Spread butter over the dough. Combine sugar, ground cloves, and cinnamon in a small bowl and mix well. Sprinkle over butter. Roll up retangle, jelly roll fashion, starting from one long side. Pinch seam to seal. Cut the roll into 1 1/2 inch slices. Arrange the slices, cut side up, in prepared baking pan. Bake until lightly brown, about 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven. Top with glaze. Serve warm.

Personal Notes:
This is the glaze that our family likes the best: 1 c sugar, 1 tsp soda, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 T pancake syrup, and 1/2 cup buttermilk. Cook for 5 minutes. Can also make a quick glaze by using 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1/4 tsp lemon juice, and just enough milk to make a creamy glaze.
