1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 c. dark corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
Unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the other ingredients. Pour into pie crust. Put some pecans halves on top in a pattern. Put on lower rack in oven and bake at 375 for 40-45 minutes.

This recipe I got from a neighbor in the early 70's. I've tried several different recipes since and this is still my favorite.
