3 cups sugar
2 cups cider vinegar
1/3 cup salt
1 teaspoon celery seed
3 quarts sliced cucumbers (8 to 10)
20 or 3 small onions
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, vinegar, salt and celery seed in a large saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil; let cool. Meanwhile, slice cucumbers, onion and peppers into a large bowl. When liquid is cool, pour over cucumber mixture. Cover and marinate in refrigerator at leas 24 hours. Transfer mixture to a crock or pint jars with tight fitting lids.
