Cake:
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, chopped
regular-sized marshmallows

Icing:
2 sticks butter
5 T. cream or milk
1 lb. box powdered sugar, sifted
1/3 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, chopped

Directions:

Cake:
Cream Crisco with sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour, cocoa and salt together and add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake in a flat greased pan for 25 minutes at 300. Take out of oven; add marshmallows, regular size, about 1 inch apart. Return to oven and bake 10 minutes. After cake cools, spread icing on the cake.

Icing:
Melt butter; add powdered sugar and cocoa. Mix well. Add vanilla, buts and enough cream or milk for spreading consistency.
