1 Cup Shortening
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1-1/2 Cup Sorghum
1 Teaspoon Soda
1/2 Tablespoon Cinnamon
Pinch of Ginger
4 Cups Flour
1 Cup Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and sorghum.
Sift fry ingredients and alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition.
Drop onto cookie sheets.
Bake in moderately hot oven.
