2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
4 cups sliced baking apples
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. nutmeats (I don't use)
Topping:
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together and beat well first 4 ingredients. Add the rest of the ingredients. Pour into a greased 11 x 16" baking pan. (Or use a 9x13 and a smaller pan) Sprinkle topping over dough mixture. Bake @ 350 for 45 minutes.

This recipe is from my mother in-law Helen Church. She has made these bars for years and they are always gobbled up.
