1/2 c. Crisco 3/4 c. sugar 2 eggs 3/4 c. milk 4 tsp. baking powder 2 1/2 c. flour 1 c. chopped dates
Preheat oven to 350º. Cream Crisco sugar and eggs. Mix in dried ingredients alternating with milk. Mix in dates. Line a 10 x 5 x 3 loaf pan with waxed paper and then grease the paper. Bake 40-50 minutes until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
